It’s Winter and I always change my Foundation almost to a by default. In summer I can use any type of foundation cream, liquid or cream to powder. In winter though I reach for my liquid foundation my skin gets extremely dry so a liquid foundation that’s has a dewy or stain finish it’s the best for me.I really love black opal pore perfecting foundation but it’s so pricey I had to find a replacement ASAP.I do my research before I buy any makeup and I had gotten a lot of mixed reviews about this foundation especially for women of color but I git a tester and love it.
Shade range: When it comes to shade range, Rimmel’s Match Perfection with 12 shades to pick from, it means that even pale ladies can find a shade. The only thing that I don’t love about this foundation it doesn’t have a lot of shades for women of color.
Packaging. It comes in a 30ml glass bottle, which gives you an idea of the finish .It also comes with a plastic pump which is my favorite part of the packaging.
Texture The texture is quite thick, it blends out very well onto the skin to give good coverage. You can get their face covered in one pump, but for me, three was the number. The finish all depended on how much product you applied. I have read many reviews saying that it is a dewy finish, but I personally found it to be more of a satin finish.Sometimes, the foundation can oxidase as the day goes on , but this was the same from the first application.
Top Tip: You can create your own tinted moisturizer or BB cream by mixing a drop or two of foundation with your daily moisturizer. Apply the mixture with your fingers for a natural finish, as the heat of your fingers will help the makeup melt into your skin better.
Price: At R130 you really can’t go wrong with this foundation.
I have found myself reaching for it again and again over the past few weeks. If you’re on the hunt for a budget foundation, I would highly recommend that you give Match Perfection ago.
