Can we make this a monthly gig here on the blog? Am seriously trying. I was reading my old blog post and I realized the last time I did an update was in April. We in June so here we go.
In my last post, I gave you guys a round down of my skin, what type of acne am dealing with. In this update, I want to tackle the importance of understanding your skin. How that can lead up to clearing your skin faster.
Over the years I have really moved away from trying different products that were recommended by skin influencer that don’t really know when am say my acne is itchy..some nights I can’t sleep my skin feels uncomfortable. To their response is drink water and put on sunscreen.
That is why I decide to share my journey. Its very import to understand your skins concern, type and also where you are in life. Are you in your 20’s,30;s or 40’s? Skin behaviours differently at different times in your life. What you used 5 years ago won’t work now.
Here are the things I feel have helped me.
I developed skincare routines for different times in the year. I know we all have a am & pm skincare rotation but Iv developed an emergency skincare rotation. Of which I only use when I have active pimples. Its is very important to understand that you can not use skin care treatment products as an everyday skin routine.
My everyday skincare routine is for prevention. It’s a skincare product delved for people who are prone to acne. I do have an emergency skincare routine of which I did a video on. Knowing and educating myself on skincare ingredients and how they can help to fix my skin issues.
I will go into detail about the acids that love my skin. In the next update.
Skincare is 20% is the products you are using anther 20% is the food you are eating and 60% are the skincare supplements you are drinking. The best decision I made was taking supplements. When your skin is bringing out it is actually your body is lacking something or it is overproducing so element.
In my case, my hormones don’t natural balance so I during primrose oil. Then there is an overproduction of oil, clogged pores then acne. It’s really simple when you know the course of your acne.
With a better understanding of your skin, you will also stay away from certain foods, lifestyle habits and skincare and makeup. I hope you take my skincare update with a grain of salt . This comes from my own personal experiences.
