TAMMI X REVOLUTION TROPICAL PARADISE PALETTE REVIEW

06. 06. 2020

For the longest time, the makeup revolution palette uses to populate on my makeup Pinterest broads in 2015. Never did I think I would hold it in my hands. I must say I own more foundations then palettes but when I decide on buying a palette there are some things take into consideration.

With years of experience of makeup under my belt, I buy makeup very smartly. It’s my most expensive habit to maintain so you cant buy every palette that comes out. You are building a collection.

I have been looking at the revolution palettes for a while now and I must say I didn’t know which one to buy. So I created a hit list for myself. I knew I wanted pigmentation and more neutral colours. So that I can create everyday looks.

This makeup revolution palette was released in 2018. It was a collaboration with Tammi a beauty YouTuber.Tammi is known for her love of colourful eye looks. That’s why I had such high expectations. Yes, the two shades that made me want to get the palette were a disappointment but the greens in this palette are everything. Rainforest – dark khaki matte is my absolute favourite.

One thing that I found very disappointing was the orange shade colour (Tropical – orange matte). I was ready on her to give me that high pigment playoff. But sis did come hey. Tropical was the hero colour in this palette. Its the transition colour of a tropical makeup look. I did use it in this makeup look.

Rich soil was not as warm as I liked her to be. I have been craving for a very deep brown eyeshadow look and I thought I would get it with this makeup revolution palette but no so much.

I truly love the creamy texture of the shades. There is fall out but not as much. With 23 different shades, you can create a day time to night time makeup look. It very Beginner-friendly so when you are starting to play with makeup this is the perfect palette for you.

The shades being more on the creamy safe really makes the shade really transition well on to each other. It’s very important to look at the undertones and the colour story of the palette. The palette is a warm summer night with the girls with cocktails on the beach. Hope you enjoyed my thoughts on this palette.
