The Beginner’s Guide to Product Types

For the longest time, I didn’t know what to do or how to treat my skin. I feel in my 20’s I wasted a lot of time using the wrong treatment products and cleaners. I knew what a cleaner was. The first step in a skincare routine but I truly didn’t know how to use it to my benefit.

In this post, I will be doing just that explaining the part of skincare that everyone assumes knows.

1. Cleanser

The first one is the important one I feel. It was overlooked did it for as long as I could remember. Most dermatologists agree it is important to cleanse the face twice daily to get bacteria, dirt and pollutants off your skin

Having a good cleaner for your morning and evening rotation is a good way for your skin to become more healthy. Your skin behaves differently at different times of the day. You cant you the same cleaner into morning and night.

Serum

It’s a product that is talked about a lot. Most skincare lovers have one or two serums in their skincare routine. But I found it’s skincare product very intimidating to say the lease. With its powerful ingredients, I thought it would make my skin worse so I would shy away from it.

Serums usually contain antioxidants, which help fight free radical damage. The serum penetrates deep into the skin. The dermatologist does suggest that it is best to use a serum after your cleanser, and they can be used underneath moisturizer to treat the skin while sleeping.

Exfoliator

The reason for my clear skin. I don’t know how many times I have researched the best exfoliator for acne skin. I always thought an exfoliator had to be a skincare product full of grains. To rub your skin clean.

An Exfoliator is any product or device used on the skin to remove dead skin cells is an exfoliator, which can then be classified as either chemical or physical.

Am not a fan of physical exfoliates. Since am prone to pimples. Chemical exfoliators like salicylic acid or glycolic acid are my go-to. They chemically break or dissolve bonds between dead skin cells.

These are the three skincare products That I personally found if used effectually in you skincare routine your skin would thank you. There are more proud s that need direction but I found these help me with my acne journey.
